Hobocop (PG-13)

(Apologies for a recent recurring theme but we feel Depression-era films are going to be big this year… just a hunch)
Hobocop (PG-13)

Train hopping hobo Hoss Weissmuller (Nick Nolte) accidentally beats train guard (Powers Boothe) to death.
Not wanting to look a gift horse in the mouth, he steals the guard’s uniform and gun, and adopts the persona of ‘Hobocop’, travelling around depression-era America, shaking down other more gullible bums. (Soon he has enough money to keep himself in whiskey for up to a year!)
Along the way Hoss discovers the true identity of the Lindbergh kidnapper, which he sees as an opportunity to possibly make enough money to keep himself in whiskey for 2-3 years!!
Alas, things don’t go according to plan and he ends up charged with the kidnapping himself, and has to face ‘old sparky’.
